In the 83rd minute, Clube Atlético Serrano's Washington Assis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arí Lopes. Arí Lopes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Luan Dove might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Messias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luan Dove ran back to his position shaking his head. The Clube Atlético Serrano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clube Atlético Serrano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
