The crowd rose to their feet as Vinícius Guedes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roberto Batista. That made the score 2-1 in the 10 minute of play. If Eliseu Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Vila Nova F.C's Roberto Batista got control of the ball when Geovânio Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Vila Nova F.C getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lauro Pereira hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Vinícius Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anêmicos Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinícius Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Batista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinícius Guedes struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute Vinícius Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes of play, Anêmicos Futebol Clube's Geovânio Montenegro made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cruz Gene to make the kick off. Vila Nova F.C's Cruz Gene got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinícius Guedes took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Batista. Roberto Batista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Roberto Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Montenegro in the 60th minute of play. Vila Nova F.C's Roberto Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Guedes in the 62nd minute of play. 5-1 became the score in the 67th minute when Vinícius Guedes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 71 minutes, Roberto de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vila Nova F.C and the Anêmicos Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Anêmicos Futebol Clube booed when Vila Nova F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Cruz Gene fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gonçalo Alagoano, passed just outside the right post. Vinícius Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Batista having to interfere. Vila Nova F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinícius Guedes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1.
