Mazinho Motta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Eurico Trevisan sped through Imperial FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mazinho Motta. Kjell-Arne Tillman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Reis in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauã Carioca during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kjell-Arne Tillman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Pirani in the 21st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Christiano da Rocha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kjell-Arne Tillman. That made the score 1-5 in the 45 minute of play.

Elivélton Pirani made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Carlos Alberto Ceresso however managed to control. From close distance Eurico Trevisan pressed in the 1-6 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 54 minutes into the game. Eurico Trevisan took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho Motta. Mazinho Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Thanks to some nice moves Giovani Nascimento could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Mazinho Motta however easily saved by the left post. After 62 minutes of play, Jaguaré FC's Eurico Trevisan made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mazinho Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Jaguaré FC booed when Imperial FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Eurico Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giovani Nascimento took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho Motta. Mazinho Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-10.
