Kjell-Arne Tillman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franklin Corrêa went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Haroldo Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Jaguaré FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kauã Carioca in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute of the game Haroldo Galvão made a throw-in which Virgílio Campidelis played forward. Kjell-Arne Tillman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Corrêa in the 25th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Acadêmico de Viseu defense, Eurico Trevisan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizinho Donatello. The Acadêmico de Viseu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizinho Donatello should have stopped the shot. After 33 played minutes Jaguaré FC got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Mendonça. Kjell-Arne Tillman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Vieira in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Vieira in the 36th minute of play forced Jaguaré FC's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Tillman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Giovani Nascimento got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 41st minute, Kléber Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luizinho Donatello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovani Nascimento in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico Trevisan got free with Luizinho Donatello in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franklin Corrêa to make the kick off. Giovani Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Jaguaré FC's Kjell-Arne Tillman got control of the ball when Rubinho Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Eurico Trevisan sped through Acadêmico de Viseu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luizinho Donatello. Kjell-Arne Tillman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Corrêa in the 64th minute of play. Eurico Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kjell-Arne Tillman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Jaguaré FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Guedes came free, but Kjell-Arne Tillman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Acadêmico de Viseu getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Haroldo Galvão hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Acadêmico de Viseu's zone, Eurico Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizinho Donatello came out of the goal and Eurico Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eurico Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Jaguaré FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eurico Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Eurico Trevisan scored 4-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizinho Donatello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Jaguaré FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Zé Augusto Cardozo hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jaguaré FC fully deserved thier win.
