Falcão Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Didi Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Taipinha AD's Benjamim Cerezo got control of the ball when Marco Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Taipinha AD's zone, Douglas Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Cerezo came out of the goal and Douglas Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Lara struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Benjamim Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araborladit. Benjamim Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With his leg Benjamim Cerezo managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Araborladit's Marco Lara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 37 minutes of play, Araborladit's Marco Lara made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamim Cerezo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute, Falcão Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Didi Mello. Araborladit's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Douglas Botelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Taipinha AD's Benjamim Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Botelho in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Taipinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Botelho came free, but Benjamim Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Araborladit's Rogério Godoi got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute, Zé Carlos Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard and well directed shot from Agnaldo Aparecido led 68 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Taipinha AD's Benjamim Cerezo became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-1. Ivo Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivo Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ivo Aguiar hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Araborladit were awarded a corner. Agnaldo Aparecido went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 78thth minute of the game Douglas Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taipinha AD's Benjamim Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th match minute, Araborladit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Falcão Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didi Mello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falcão Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Douglas Botelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamim Cerezo having to make a save. Benjamim Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Botelho in the 93rd minute of the match. Benjamim Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Botelho in the 95th minute of play.
