After 9 played minutes Dark Side FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Sá. When Maurício Almeida in the 15th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or José Paulo Couto kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. If Maurício Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falcão Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reynaldo Andrade in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Zanette saved Dark Side FC from getting behind. Maurício Almeida hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chicão de Toledo during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Lino Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Kids Graça fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Meirelles couldn't finish the play. José Paulo Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Giovanni Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Side FC's protests and gave Giovanni Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, one of Dark Side FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dark Side FC. The referee gave Kids Graça a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vânderson Prestes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dark Side FC's Falcão Zanette. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Kids Graça booed when Dark Side FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo da Rocha got free with Falcão Zanette in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Falcão Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nildo da Rocha in the 61st minute. 79 minutes into the match, Dark Side FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Andrade came free, but Falcão Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ruy Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Falcão Zanette read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Dark Side FC defense, Lino Meirelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falcão Zanette. The Dark Side FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falcão Zanette should have stopped the shot. After 92 played minutes Dark Side FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Saraiva. After a defensive mix-up in Dark Side FC's zone, Reynaldo Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Zanette came out of the goal and Reynaldo Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th match minute, Dark Side FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruy Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Nildo da Rochas short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Falcão Zanette to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match was over Kids Graça could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dark Side FC throughout the match.
