After a rather tough play, Herois da Apae FC's Eduardo Furlan got a free kick in the 11th minute. José Paulo Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gino Lopez went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Delfim Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Kids Graça fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Velasco couldn't finish the play. After having played for 21 minutes, Lino Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kids Graça's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Fernando Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nildo da Rocha went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th play minute Nildo da Rocha came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Carlos Fernando Sousa. 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo da Rocha got free with Carlos Fernando Sousa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Paulo Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aírton Penha went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute, Reynaldo Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kids Graça's José Paulo Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Lopez in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Herois da Apae FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Abraão to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match Kids Graça got a corner. Herois da Apae FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vânderson Prestes ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Velasco in the 45th minute of play forced Herois da Apae FC's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Jeferson Vargas's late challenge caught a Kids Graça's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeferson Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Herois da Apae FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jeferson Vargas hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Kids Graça's goalkeeper José Paulo Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aírton Penha. In the 72nd minute Kids Graça were awarded a corner. Vânderson Prestes went to the cornerflag to take it. Kids Graça's Vânderson Prestes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Fernando Sousa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gino Lopez took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Paulo Couto. José Paulo Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Kids Graça's José Paulo Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Furlan in the 78th minute of play. With 80 minutes on the clock, Dito Abraão commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 79 minutes into the game, one of Herois da Apae FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vânderson Prestes walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The supporters of Kids Graça booed when Herois da Apae FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Fernando Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Meirelles in the 86th minute of the match. Aírton Penha struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. José Paulo Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herois da Apae FC. The supporters of Kids Graça booed when Herois da Apae FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Gino Lopez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. José Paulo Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle went the supporters of Herois da Apae FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Kids Graça side.
