Erasmo Macedo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Otávio de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Atlético Fluminense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otávio de Senna couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the game, João Pedro Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Fluminense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magula Fc the free kick. Geovanni de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Meireles's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Kléberson Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Macedo in the 59th minute of play forced Magula Fc's goalkeeper Richard Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Magula Fc fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Magula Fc's Leopoldo Meireles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Otávio de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Atlético Fluminense's Geovanni de Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Fluminense from getting a goal against them. Geovanni de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Meireles in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, João Pedro Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Fluminense's supporters rose to their feet, but João Pedro Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Celsinho Goiano sped through Atlético Fluminense's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geovanni de Lara. The Magula Fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
