But to his dismay, Eduardo Furlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Erasmo Macedo in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlos Fernando Sousa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Erasmo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 minutes, Jean Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Fluminense and the Herois da Apae FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Atlético Fluminense getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jean Alagoano hit a great ball. Geovanni de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Erasmo Macedo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Geovanni de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Furlan in the 23rd minute of play. Erasmo Macedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Fernando Sousa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Herois da Apae FC's Carlos Fernando Sousa got control of the ball when Erasmo Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Fernando Sousa made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Jeferson Bertassi sent off a good shot on target. Aírton Penha charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aírton Penha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Aírton Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanni de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Penha in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Atlético Fluminense's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Penha came free, but Geovanni de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Dário Motta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Fluminense's Jeferson Bertassi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Macedo in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Fernando Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Erasmo Macedo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Herois da Apae FC booed when Atlético Fluminense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wiliam Vinhas made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Augusto Mineiro immediately put the ball in play. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Gino Lopez sped through Atlético Fluminense's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geovanni de Lara. 59 minutes into the match, Atlético Fluminense's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Penha came free, but Geovanni de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Gino Lopez notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Atlético Fluminense's Geovanni de Lara. Geovanni de Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herois da Apae FC's Aírton Penha got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. Herois da Apae FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Fluminense the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Herois da Apae FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Furlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Herois da Apae FC's Eduardo Furlan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geovanni de Lara. Geovanni de Lara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Geovanni de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Furlan in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Herois da Apae FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
