Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) When Magno Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Sambô Laion FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Cotinguiba AD's Rafa Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Hoffmann in the 7th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Cotinguiba AD got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Rocha. Gilmar Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Tinoco came free, but Rafa Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Maranhense's late challenge caught a Sambô Laion FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. Oswaldo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Figueiredo in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Marinho saved Cotinguiba AD from getting behind. Manfredo Rocha hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Wellington Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Marinho having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Wellington Duarte made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Cotinguiba AD's Rafa Marinho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Corrêa in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Marinho saved Cotinguiba AD from getting behind. In the 45thth minute of the game Gilmar Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cotinguiba AD's Rafa Marinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute João Paulo Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes Cotinguiba AD got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Rocha. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilmar Corrêa made a kick off. Gilmar Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cotinguiba AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Gilmar Corrêa scored to the left of an out of position Rafa Marinho, making the score, 0-5. Wellington Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Rafa Marinho made a huge save. Rafa Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Hoffmann in the 68th minute of the match. João Paulo Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rafa Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafa Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Hoffmann came free, but Rafa Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes, Manfredo Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cotinguiba AD and the Sambô Laion FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Cotinguiba AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th play minute Wellington Duarte came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rafa Marinho. 0-6. With his leg Rafa Marinho managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Sambô Laion FC's Wellington Duarte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th minute João Paulo Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match, João Paulo Hoffmann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafa Marinho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Cotinguiba AD's Tostão Prado got a free kick in the 93rd minute. João Paulo Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rafa Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sambô Laion FC. Sambô Laion FC played a much better game than Cotinguiba AD and deserved their victory. The Cotinguiba AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
