In the 6th minute, Manfredo Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 7 in the game by Álvaro Bentes from a close distance when the talented Rafa Marinho managed to make a qualified save. Cotinguiba AD's players were relieved. After 8 played minutes Cotinguiba AD got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Prado. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Marek Koniarek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viamão F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marek Koniarek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafa Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the game, Lucas Cardoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafa Marinho. Lucas Cardoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When Viamão F.C.'s Lucas Cardoso in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cotinguiba AD's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute, Lucas Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Lucas Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafa Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 29 minutes of play, Viamão F.C.'s Álvaro Bentes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafa Marinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucas Cardoso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rafa Marinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucas Cardoso slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Vágner Guerra made a precise shot to the right of Rafa Marinho. Cotinguiba AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 44thth minute of the game Lucas Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cotinguiba AD's Rafa Marinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafa Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Cardoso in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Cardoso to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Cotinguiba AD defense, Lucas Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafa Marinho. The Cotinguiba AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafa Marinho should have stopped the shot. Rafa Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Bentes in the 54th minute of the match. Rafa Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Bentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Marek Koniarek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cotinguiba AD getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sidney Proença hit a great ball. If Lucas Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cotinguiba AD's goalkeeper Rafa Marinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tostão Prado's late challenge caught a Viamão F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Prado helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Marinho having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Bentes came free, but Rafa Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, one of Cotinguiba AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cotinguiba AD. Rafa Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Cardoso in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Álvaro Bentes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viamão F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. There was no doubt that Viamão F.C. were the better team. Viamão F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
