Fábio Pernambucano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fernando Souza having to make a save. In the 3rd minute Fábio Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Souza having to interfere. OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Dráuzio Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 played minutes U18 Cruzeiro got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Neto. 15 minutes into the match, U18 Cruzeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Veiga came free, but Luiz Fernando Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Gualter Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Genílson Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jhon Rabelos short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Didi de Toledo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 32 minutes into the match, U18 Cruzeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Pernambucano came free, but Luiz Fernando Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fernando Souza came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Fábio Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Fábio Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fábio Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, one of U18 Cruzeiro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Berdaitz Mandelo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luiz Fernando Souza. In the 62nd minute, Gualter Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dé Melo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Fábio Pernambucano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Luiz Fernando Souza 71 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Fábio Pernambucano got a free kick in the 75th minute. Dé Melo got his second yellow card in the match during the 79th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dé Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Fábio Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U18 Cruzeiro's Robinho Guerra quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Berdaitz Mandelo, made in the 91st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, OLIMPYACUS F. C.'s Stéphane Kubeck got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded OLIMPYACUS F. C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U18 Cruzeiro.
