When Carlinhos Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Terra Média's protests and gave Carlinhos Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Terra Média getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Carlinhos Tinoco hit a great ball. If Antonio Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Belmiro Rosa with Teodoro Zanette as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
