Augusto Bezerra made a great header on Catone's corner, it was just that Sambaqui FC's Hélder Breckenfeld managed to reach the ball for a save. 29 minutes into the match, Catone's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Tinoco came free, but Percy Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Roberto Criston had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Rodrigues. Catone's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Criston was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.

In the 53rd minute Remo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percy Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sambaqui FC's Cristiano Tinoco. But to his dismay, Cristiano Tinoco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Hélder Breckenfeld made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Pearu Kalinin sent off a good shot on target. After 71 played minutes Sambaqui FC got a freekick which was hit by Jabier Fabbri. Catone made a substitution. Wilian Gonçalves replaced Sydney Rosa. Wilian Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Breckenfeld. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilian Gonçalves ran back to his position shaking his head. Percy Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Tinoco in the 80th minute of play. Hélder Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Gonçalves in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Cristiano Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Sambaqui FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
