In the 4th minute, Teodoro Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Terra Média's Fred Sergipano got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Rosa in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 12 minutes, Sydney Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Váldson Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Catone's Sydney Rosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Terra Média's Váldson Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Terra Média from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Remo Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catone's supporters rose to their feet, but Remo Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Váldson Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Váldson Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Catone's Sydney Rosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 30th match minute, Catone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Jerônimo Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Rodrigues having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Terra Média got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Zanette. Sydney Rosa got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 4-0 in the right cross in the 43rd match minute before Váldson Senna had time to react.

In the 60th minute Catone were awarded a corner. Augusto Bezerra went to the cornerflag to take it. Váldson Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Váldson Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney Rosa's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 70thth minute of the game Sydney Rosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terra Média's Váldson Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Catone's Augusto Bezerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Váldson Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Terra Média's Wilton Negri was substituted for Cesinha Figueiredo. The Catone fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Catone's Wilian Gonçalves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wilian Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Váldson Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Catone's Eduardo Vargas got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 86thth minute of the game Wilian Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terra Média's Váldson Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Percy Rodrigues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Negri in the 87th minute. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Wilian Gonçalves put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Váldson Senna. After 96 minutes of play, Catone's Wilian Gonçalves made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Váldson Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Catone were the better team. Catone's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
