With a little luck, Coqueiros FC's Arkadiy Trofimov got control of the ball when Pedro Augusto Dionísio tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tiaguinho Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Augusto Dionísios short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Arkadiy Trofimov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jânio Furtado hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Coqueiros FC's attentive Carlos Rossi managed to snatch the ball when Adelino Saraiva made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Narciso Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaká Goiano having to make a save. The Paulista F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coqueiros FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Augusto Dionísio was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Coqueiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Mesquita came free, but Arkadiy Trofimov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Pedro Augusto Dionísio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arkadiy Trofimov. Coqueiros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Augusto Dionísio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Paulista F.C's Kaká Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Paulista F.C from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, Coqueiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Dionísio came free, but Arkadiy Trofimov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Paulista F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Paulista F.C had played much better football throughout.
