Inácio Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Marumby's Inácio Cruz got control of the ball when Zeca Matos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matías Vieira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inácio Cruz came out and tried to block the shot, but Matías Vieira slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 37th minute. The supporters of Joinville Fatal Model booed when Marumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Zeca Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inácio Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fellipe Queirós made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Zeca Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inácio Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The supporters of Marumby booed when Joinville Fatal Model was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the match, Marumby's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Vale came free, but Inácio Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Naldo Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Inácio Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marumby's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
