Anastasio Sol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matheus Neto's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Matheus Neto took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasio Sol. Anastasio Sol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aylal Souza came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Vascogoianiense FC's Matheus Neto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasio Sol was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simão Zonta hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Aírton Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Konrad Dziura charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konrad Dziura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of EGPS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vascogoianiense FC:s goal. After the first half Vascogoianiense FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheus Neto made a kick off. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aylal Souza in the 52nd minute of play. The corner ended in Aylal Souza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matheus Neto in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anastasio Sol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Anastasio Sol managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Vascogoianiense FC's Matheus Neto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Anastasio Sol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Sousa in the 64th minute of the match. Matheus Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Anastasio Sol made a huge save. The supporters of EGPS booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Marcelo da Rocha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nelsinho Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The EGPS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
