Piraputanga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo the free kick. Luiz Fábio Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Matei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Lucas made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Rodrigo Matei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Matei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54thth minute of the game Rodrigo Matei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piraputanga's Luiz Fábio Zonta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodrigo Matei struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Luiz Fábio Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo. After 62 minutes of play, São Paulo's Rodrigo Matei made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fábio Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for São Paulo! In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Piraputanga. Alexandre Donatello stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Damian Bologa. 1-1. If Rodrigo Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Bologa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Luiz Fábio Zonta came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo's Rodrigo Matei. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Matei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 79th minute, Honorio Tanio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Piraputanga's Alexandre Donatello got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 92nd minute, Humberto Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Matei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luiz Fábio Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. São Paulo fully deserved thier win.
