Spectators: 7692 (Terracing: 5770, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antônio de Salles started the match with the kick off. Ale Crowleys short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Daniel Poling to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Poling came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Cachaceiros FC's Antônio de Salles. But to his dismay, Antônio de Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gil Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Daniel Poling made a huge save. 15 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachaceiros FC the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Corinthians FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Paulo Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Corinthians FC's Daniel Poling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio de Salles in the 17th minute of play. Antônio de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corinthians FC's Daniel Poling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Corinthians FC from getting a goal against them. Ale Crowley took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Poling. Daniel Poling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Gil Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio de Salles got free with Daniel Poling in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 31 played minutes Cachaceiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Nóbrega. In the 32nd minute of the match Roman Abesadze sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo José Ceresso skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, Antônio de Salles made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Poling. Corinthians FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 37 minutes into the game, Osvaldinho Abreu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachaceiros FC the free kick. Osvaldinho Abreu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Corinthians FC's Daniel Poling got control of the ball when Ale Crowley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Moreno Cabeleira charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moreno Cabeleira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Antônio de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corinthians FC's Daniel Poling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 43 minutes of play, Corinthians FC's Moreno Cabeleira made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo José Ceresso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Poling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When Cachaceiros FC's Antônio de Salles in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corinthians FC's goalie prevented a goal. Cachaceiros FC's Paulo José Ceresso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Cachaceiros FC from getting a goal against them. Daniel Poling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio de Salles in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Corinthians FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Abesadze to maneuver through the defense. Corinthians FC's Daniel Poling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio de Salles in the 64th minute of play. With his leg Paulo José Ceresso managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Corinthians FC's Osvaldinho Abreu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Osvaldinho Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Paulo José Ceresso made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Cachaceiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moreno Cabeleira came free, but Paulo José Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Antônio de Salles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Poling was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72ndth minute of the game Antônio de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corinthians FC's Daniel Poling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Poling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ale Crowley in the 74th minute of play. Corinthians FC's Moreno Cabeleira got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Moreno Cabeleira off the ground. In the 79th minute, Moreno Cabeleira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, José Maria Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo José Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 played minutes Corinthians FC got a freekick which was hit by Roman Abesadze. Ale Crowley struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Daniel Poling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachaceiros FC. Daniel Poling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Daniel Poling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ale Crowley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Abesadze lost his temper 97 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Cachaceiros FC. Arlindo Luz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Daniel Poling. 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cachaceiros FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Corinthians FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
