When Edu Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's protests and gave Edu Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร got a freekick which was hit by Edu Quirino. Aníbal Marquez took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Loyola. Afonso Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 0-2 became the score in the 17th minute when Aníbal Marquez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Aníbal Marquez made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's Afonso Loyola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aníbal Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Sidney Hoffmann dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcus Dias, 1-3. Afonso Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Marquez in the 31st minute of play. Afonso Loyola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aníbal Marquez went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. If Aníbal Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aníbal Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Afonso Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Loyola came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Caneleiros FC's Teodoro Carioca. But to his dismay, Teodoro Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Afonso Loyola was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Aníbal Marquez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aníbal Marquez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. After 60 minutes, Teodoro Carioca made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's Afonso Loyola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute Aníbal Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Caneleiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thomás Vinhas came free, but Marcus Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Caneleiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Aníbal Marquez had several of the ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-8 score and a disappointed Afonso Loyola as he didn't even see the shot coming. Afonso Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Carioca in the 78th minute. Afonso Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Teodoro Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-9. Afonso Loyola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 83 played minutes ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Paiva. In the 84th minute of the match Ronaldão de Barros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Loyola skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร defense, Teodoro Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Loyola. The ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Loyola should have stopped the shot. Afonso Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Marquez in the 89th minute. Marcus Dias came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's Cléber Araújo. But to his dismay, Cléber Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-10.
