The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ademar Saldanha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vladimir Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Ceresso in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Aldeola's Ademar Saldanha got control of the ball when João Pedro de Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Ademar Saldanha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. João Pedro de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ademar Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Marxistas's Jarbas Siqueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ademar Saldanha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 18 minutes into the game, João Pedro de Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ademar Saldanha. João Pedro de Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Cavalcante during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aldeola fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! In the 22nd minute, the referee gave Marxistas a penalty. João Pedro de Amorim looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ademar Saldanha. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 5-0 when João Pedro de Amorim sped through Aldeola's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ademar Saldanha. João Pedro de Amorim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ademar Saldanha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sandrinho Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Ademar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Siqueira in the 35th minute of the match. Aldeola's Ademar Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Aldeola from getting a goal against them. João Pedro de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Saldanha having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, João Pedro de Amorim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ademar Saldanha, 6-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Pedro de Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Pedro de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ademar Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marxistas. Ademar Saldanha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 65 minutes into the match, João Pedro de Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademar Saldanha. Aldeola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Pedro de Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Eulalio Haritzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ademar Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
