Sebastião Azevedo hit a great ball. Wambasther Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Azevedo in the 10th minute of the match. After 11 minutes Olimpia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastião Azevedo who took care of the corner kick. Luiz Guilherme Varela was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wasyl Lemiesz in the 15th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpia were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Bandelocos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Deivid Barros took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Mathias Souto managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Bandelocos booed when Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, one of Olimpia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olimpia. Oscar Trancoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Nilson do Vale skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Natã dos Santos got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 40th minute of the match, Oscar Trancoso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nilson do Vale was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Benedito Ramalho hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The Olimpia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bandelocos were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Sobis to make the kick off. Wambasther Navas was a little too slow when Luiz Guilherme Varela got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-3. Rafael Sobis struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Wambasther Navas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandelocos. When Henry Tormes fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandelocos's protests and gave Henry Tormes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Henry Tormes hit a great ball. Henry Tormes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Trancoso in the 69th minute of play. Oscar Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson do Vale having to interfere. In the 78th minute Oscar Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Oscar Trancoso made a precise shot to the right of Nilson do Vale. Bandelocos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The audience was convinced that Rafael Sobis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wambasther Navas was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Sebastião Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th play minute Sebastião Azevedo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wambasther Navas. 2-5. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Olimpia lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
