André Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Frederick having to interfere. André Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ron Frederick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Gustavo Fidele reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Válter Peixoto. The goal made the score 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Trahira FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Messias came free, but Ron Frederick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Sport Guild Atlantis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliodor Vasiloiu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Trahira FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Adilson Medeiros hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Trahira FC's zone, Dinei Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron Frederick came out of the goal and Dinei Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Raí de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Trahira FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ronaldinho Toledo hit a great ball. Mourad Amirouche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ron Frederick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes in the game, Leonard Olszewski fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Válter Peixoto having to interfere. Savas Zavadskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Trahira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Pires to maneuver through the defense. Ron Frederick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Messias in the 32nd minute of play. In the 38th minute, Mourad Amirouche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Raí de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Guild Atlantis's protests and gave Raí de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. Raí de Andrade hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Adilson Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Leonard Olszewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trahira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Guild Atlantis the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Trahira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Olszewski to maneuver through the defense. Ron Frederick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Fidele to make the kick off. When Gustavo Fidele came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Trahira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Fidele couldn't finish the play. Válter Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Trahira FC's Cláudio Pires got a free kick in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Trahira FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Messias came free, but Ron Frederick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliézer Lucas in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válter Peixoto saved Sport Guild Atlantis from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Sport Guild Atlantis's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano de Salles came free, but Válter Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Sport Guild Atlantis got a freekick which was hit by Raí de Andrade. Válter Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliézer Lucas's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Olszewski in the 73rd minute of play forced Sport Guild Atlantis's goalkeeper Válter Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trahira FC's Ron Frederick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Trahira FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Sport Guild Atlantis's André Messias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ron Frederick. That made the score 1-2 after 83 minutes of play. Trahira FC's Ron Frederick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Messias in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Fidele in the 88th minute of play forced Sport Guild Atlantis's goalkeeper Válter Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Mats Byström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Frederick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sport Guild Atlantis getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Savas Zavadskiy hit a great ball. Mourad Amirouche's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ron Frederick firmly grabbed it by the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sport Guild Atlantis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
