When Igor de Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brusque FC's protests and gave Igor de Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brusque FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Igor de Alcântara hit a great ball. If Simão Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the match, Brusque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Ortiz came free, but Cristian Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
