The referee ignored Socanelas FC's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Penha a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Athletis PR booed when Socanelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberigo Capaldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvaldo Tande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Socanelas FC defense, Marco de Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvaldo Tande. The Socanelas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvaldo Tande should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Socanelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Leme came free, but Edvaldo Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco de Moraes took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Tande. Edvaldo Tande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Edvaldo Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Fernandez in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvaldo Tande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the game, Ruy Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Edvaldo Tande was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute Silvério Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Alberigo Capaldo made a precise shot to the right of Edvaldo Tande. Socanelas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The Athletis PR fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Athletis PR's Silvério Fernandez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silvério Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Tande having to interfere. Socanelas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Athletis PR the free kick. After 45 played minutes Socanelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Barreto. The Socanelas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Athletis PR were winning 0-6.

After a rather tough play, Socanelas FC's Mor Šego got a free kick in the 50th minute. Vinícius Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Prado having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Silvério Fernandez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edvaldo Tande. The goal made the score 0-7. Hudson da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Tande having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Athletis PR's Marco de Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvaldo Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. 64 minutes into the match, Socanelas FC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genílson Leme. Marco de Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvaldo Tande having to make a save. The Athletis PR fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Athletis PR's Silvério Fernandez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Athletis PR made a substitution. Caio Raminhos replaced Alex Rosado. If Silvério Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Genílson Leme came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edvaldo Tande could save by the left post. Luís Gustavo de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Edvaldo Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute of the match Athletis PR got a corner. Socanelas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silvério Fernandez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Anísio Valladares advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-11 in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Alberigo Capaldo notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Socanelas FC's Edvaldo Tande. Edvaldo Tande was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Athletis PR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvério Fernandez in the 93rd minute. Luís Gustavo de Mendonça was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
