Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5746, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Douglas Cosme started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Giovani Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Carioca having to interfere. After 6th play minutes Irinel Codrea shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Cristóvão Carioca and just under the crossbar into goal. Douglas Cosme scored 1-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adriano Britto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thunder Palmeiras were furious when Adriano Pinho was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 19 minutes into the game, one of Thunder Palmeiras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Adriano Britto came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Pirapitingui SC's Douglas Cosme. But to his dismay, Douglas Cosme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After some careless play in the Thunder Palmeiras defense, Cássio Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriano Britto. The Thunder Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriano Britto should have stopped the shot. When Irinel Codrea, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 31 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cristóvão Carioca was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirapitingui SC's goalkeeper Cristóvão Carioca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Teo Afonso rounded Pirapitingui SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. Pirapitingui SC's Cristóvão Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Afonso in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Rafael Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Thunder Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Natã Quirino. The Thunder Palmeiras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pirapitingui SC were winning 2-5.

Marcel de Toledo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes Thunder Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Germano de Queirós. In the 64th match minute, Thunder Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Genílson de Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pirapitingui SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Belmiro Alvarenga during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Belmiro Alvarenga hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Irinel Codrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teo Afonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Pirapitingui SC's Pedrinho Guimarães seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pedrinho Guimarães the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pirapitingui SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pedrinho Guimarães had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 73rd minute, one of Pirapitingui SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pirapitingui SC. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for Thunder Palmeiras. Germano de Queirós stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cristóvão Carioca. 3-6. Giovani Vargas hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Rafael Prestes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adriano Britto, passed just outside the right post. After 87th play minutes Irinel Codrea shot 4-6, a short shot which went by Cristóvão Carioca and just under the crossbar into goal. Cássio Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pirapitingui SC's Maurício da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
