Cruzeiro RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Maranhense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Tomas Gustavsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Eguen Armesto made a huge save. When Igor Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the A.C.Mandala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Maranhense couldn't finish the play. Dorival Leão in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eguen Armesto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 23rd minute of the match, Dorival Leão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eguen Armesto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 24th minute, Cruzeiro RS's Amauri Ribeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amauri Ribeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cruzeiro RS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amauri Ribeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Cruzeiro RS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Amauri Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Tiago Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Tinoco came free, but Eguen Armesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Sílvio Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Augusto Vides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Su Xiang Chuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as A.C.Mandala's Tomas Gustavsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eguen Armesto. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. Cruzeiro RS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Igor Maranhense scored to the left of an out of position Eguen Armesto, making the score, 3-0. Su Xiang Chuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Dorival Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eguen Armesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Romeu Porto hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Su Xiang Chuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of A.C.Mandala booed when Cruzeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cruzeiro RS's Eguen Armesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Gustavsson in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes Cruzeiro RS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiago Tinoco who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Bernardinho Siqueira advanced and headed the ball into goal, 4-0 in the 57th minute. Cruzeiro RS's Eguen Armesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Leão in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, A.C.Mandala's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Figueiredo came free, but Su Xiang Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Leão in the 65th minute of play forced Cruzeiro RS's goalkeeper Eguen Armesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Igor Maranhense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Eguen Armesto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cruzeiro RS made a substitution. Oséas Tasso replaced Tiago Esteves. Tomas Gustavsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Su Xiang Chuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fred de Barros in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Cruzeiro RS were awarded a corner. Zé Paulo Pombal went to the cornerflag to take it. Cruzeiro RS's Zé Paulo Pombal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Su Xiang Chuan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eguen Armesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Leão in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Sílvio Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Leão came free, but Eguen Armesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Dorival Leão sped through Cruzeiro RS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eguen Armesto. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A.C.Mandala fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cruzeiro RS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
