Catalino Canto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Godoi went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The throw-in from José Maria Freire in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Palestra do Interior's Eugênio Alagoano. When Feminista MZC's Patryk Bobrowski in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Niclas Danielsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Catalino Canto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niclas Danielsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Palestra do Interior's Paulo Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Feminista MZC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! Catalino Canto went to the wrong direction when Paulo Godoi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Paulo Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Catalino Canto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Godoi in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niclas Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. Patryk Bobrowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Feminista MZC's goalkeeper Catalino Canto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruninho Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patryk Bobrowski in the 64th minute of play. Eugênio Alagoano hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Palestra do Interior's Rafael Gomes was substituted for Moisés Matorin. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Marzuki Papilaya replaced Hudson Sergipano. Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago was substituted for Paulo Godoi. In the 66th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. Palestra do Interior's Bruninho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Hotz in the 67th minute of play. Bruninho Vaz came out of the goal and Patryk Bobrowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Vitório Lago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Catalino Canto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. With his leg Catalino Canto managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitório Lago got free with Catalino Canto in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner. Niclas Danielsson went to the cornerflag to take it. 81 minutes into the match, Patryk Bobrowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruninho Vaz. Palestra do Interior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patryk Bobrowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitório Lago got free with Catalino Canto in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
