Higinio Lertxun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Poz, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Volvimos a Boedo's Higinio Lertxun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Raebert in the 6th minute of play. Volvimos a Boedo's Celedonio Millrick got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Igor Ralondo made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Lertxun. Volvimos a Boedo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 18th minute Igor Ralondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Lertxun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Volvimos a Boedo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rene Ruisko was slow to take the kick. During this time Clarke AFC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Rene Ruisko got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Higinio Lertxun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Atilano Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximino Salvidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Conrado Tirso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Celedonio Millrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celedonio Millrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Tirso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Celedonio Millrick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Clarke AFC's zone, Maximino Salvidor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Tirso came out of the goal and Maximino Salvidor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conrado Tirso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Salvidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Maximino Salvidor hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The supporters of Clarke AFC booed when Volvimos a Boedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Salvidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Ralondo to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Santos Saturnin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Tirso. Clarke AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santos Saturnin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 60th minute, Clarke AFC's Casimiro Raebert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Higinio Lertxun. Higinio Lertxun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Poz got free with Higinio Lertxun in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Higinio Lertxun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Ralondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After some careless play in the Volvimos a Boedo defense, Jose Poz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Lertxun. The Volvimos a Boedo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Lertxun should have stopped the shot. Higinio Lertxun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Poz in the 81st minute. Maximino Salvidor hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Volvimos a Boedo's Santos Saturnin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado Tirso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celedonio Millrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Conrado Tirso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Volvimos a Boedo's Maximino Salvidor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado Tirso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximino Salvidor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conrado Tirso having to make a save. Conrado Tirso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Millrick in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match Volvimos a Boedo got a corner. Clarke AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celedonio Millrick ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Santos Saturnin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The Volvimos a Boedo manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Clarke AFC to win.
