Spectators: 7123 (Terracing: 5344, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Delmiro Abeitia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Kusko in the 7th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Julio Etxepare had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmiro Abeitia. Emil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio Etxepare was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natalio Lidon in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Bilbo saved Esther from getting behind. Jörgen Wallengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Abeitia having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Geronimo Bilbo, was totally fooled by Emil's Prudencio Criston, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Emil's zone, Angelo Kusko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Abeitia came out of the goal and Angelo Kusko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th match minute, Emil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Malvin to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Esther defense, Eustacio Malvin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geronimo Bilbo. The Esther fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geronimo Bilbo should have stopped the shot. Delmiro Abeitia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Caradaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Julio Etxepare came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Esther fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Etxepare couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Vicente Caradaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delmiro Abeitia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Caradaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Caradaro to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Angelo Kusko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esther's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Kusko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Siro Ariando took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geronimo Bilbo. Geronimo Bilbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. When Natalio Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Emil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Lidon couldn't finish the play. If Vicente Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil's Celestino Porfirio got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geronimo Bilbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Ariando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Emil players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
