If Rolando Nastasio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Batán FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! The referee gave MARANGONI FC a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emanuel Montrell, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Batán FC's Robustiano Loiola. 0-1. Paulino Oroitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Nastasio in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Rogelio Refugio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MARANGONI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batán FC the free kick. The supporters of Batán FC booed when MARANGONI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Nastasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the MARANGONI FC defense, Samuel Munio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulino Oroitz. The MARANGONI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulino Oroitz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, MARANGONI FC's Nemesio Medina got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Batán FC's Tobias Gaur broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Romulo Artaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batán FC's Robustiano Loiola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robustiano Loiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Artaldo in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

55 minutes into the match, Batán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Refugio came free, but Robustiano Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Nastasio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Munio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Oroitz having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Romulo Artaldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Robustiano Loiola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anselmo Naldo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match Emanuel Montrell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robustiano Loiola skillfully saved the ball. Batán FC's Robustiano Loiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Quintana in the 69th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Batán FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Savier to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Samuel Munio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulino Oroitz. MARANGONI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Munio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Samuel Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Paulino Oroitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, MARANGONI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Quintana to maneuver through the defense. Romulo Artaldo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Robustiano Loiola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Romulo Artaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robustiano Loiola made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Romulo Artaldo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rolando Nastasio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Nastasio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Oroitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The MARANGONI FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Batán FC from taking control.
