An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Veremundo in the 3rd minute of play forced MARANGONI FC's goalkeeper Paulino Oroitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Quintana's late challenge caught a Mojigatos off's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Quintana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute, Rolando Ado made a precise shot to the right of Paulino Oroitz. MARANGONI FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Romulo Artaldo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Orvar Jansson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gonzalo Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Orvar Jansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mojigatos off's Manuel Petcu got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Cristo Tercero fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mojigatos off's protests and gave Cristo Tercero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Cristo Tercero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mojigatos off's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gonzalo Primeiro 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, Ignacio Veremundo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulino Oroitz. MARANGONI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Veremundo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonzalo Primeiro to make the kick off. Paulino Oroitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Veremundo's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Rogelio Refugio hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mojigatos off's zone, Romulo Artaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orvar Jansson came out of the goal and Romulo Artaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Ado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulino Oroitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Ado in the 70th minute. Rolando Ado had several of the MARANGONI FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Paulino Oroitz as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 88th match minute, MARANGONI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sotero to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Oroitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Veremundo in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Mojigatos off booed when MARANGONI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Primeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Paulino Oroitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Mojigatos off could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MARANGONI FC throughout the match.
