Teodoro Oliveiro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Eloy Gonsalve received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Damian Hondo came out and tried to block the shot, but Eloy Gonsalve slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 15th minute. In the 24th minute, Miguel Lesardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidoro Jorrin's late challenge caught a Estrella Roja Fútbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Jorrin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Isidoro Jorrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albino Ariando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Lesardo in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Teodoro Oliveiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrella Roja Fútbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Oliveiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Hondo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Guaraní's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
