Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Fero in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristobal Bikendi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristobal Bikendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Serafo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Palavicini's Domingo Fero got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristobal Bikendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Reno in the 33rd minute of the match. Leon Osmundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Abecia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Osmundo made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Casimiro Abecia sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Fero to make the kick off. Dionisio Reno might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Bikendi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palavicini. In the 87th minute, Domingo Fero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Bikendi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Pili S.T.'s zone, Domingo Fero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Bikendi came out of the goal and Domingo Fero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Fero got free with Cristobal Bikendi in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Palavicini's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
