The supporters of Moreira booed when Ñorquín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Truylos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Florinio to make the kick off. Ñorquín's Roberto Leoncio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Ñorquín from getting a goal against them. Teodosio Cordarrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute.
