Benigno Rocio might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Demesio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benigno Rocio ran back to his position shaking his head. Los Capos VRT's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benigno Rocio 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Diego Mikelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Gaspar Dantel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Demesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Chateaubriand AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Dantae came free, but Maximo Maties reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chateaubriand AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Mikelar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Benigno Rocio came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Chateaubriand AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Rocio couldn't finish the play. Chateaubriand AFC's Blas Chano got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Guifre got free with Maximo Maties in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes in the game, Teofilo Dantae fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Maximo Maties having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Chateaubriand AFC's Aquilino Behe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Demesio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Chateaubriand AFC booed when Los Capos VRT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Dayam didn't get a good kick on the ball.
