After 20 minutes, Jacinto Ascencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yuquerí AFC and the Necochea players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Yuquerí AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jacinto Ascencio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominik Lichucki in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Placido Maule saved Yuquerí AFC from getting behind. Honorio Jordy made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Yuquerí AFC's Arnaldo Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Illan in the 33rd minute of play forced Necochea's goalkeeper Laureano Cisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Liu Zhen Chang kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Placido Maule. That made the score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Dominik Lichucki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yuquerí AFC's Placido Maule was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 42 played minutes Yuquerí AFC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Illan. After some careless play in the Yuquerí AFC defense, Liu Zhen Chang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Placido Maule. The Yuquerí AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placido Maule should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Liu Zhen Chang struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Placido Maule didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Necochea. Desiderio Mino charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Placido Maule was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yuquerí AFC's Placido Maule played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Lichucki in the 92nd minute of play. Placido Maule showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liu Zhen Chang in the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Necochea fully deserved thier win.
