Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dionisio Gaitan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliver Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saúl Salcedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Kahn having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Huracan's Alberto Papo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliver Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, Antonio Nicholas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Huracan's Hernan Cordeal. Hernan Cordeal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Kahn having to interfere. Dionisio Gaitan scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oliver Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Huracan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anacleto Baladi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Antonio Nicholas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the »• CORDOBÉS FORTINERO •« fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Nicholas couldn't finish the play. Oliver Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Papo in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Saúl Salcedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Abaunza hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Huracan's Hernan Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Madureira in the 57th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Enzo Opilano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Huracan's zone, Victor Abastas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Cordeal came out of the goal and Victor Abastas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Saúl Salcedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Xabat during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eliseo Xabat hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match Benjamin Duardo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernan Cordeal skillfully saved the ball. In the 82nd minute, Henrique Madureira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Cordeal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 94th minute Henrique Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
