The Palomero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Gaspar Gabirel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriana Sabino. Palomero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Gabirel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Palomero booed when Barceloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Gabirel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Bartolo Abarca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisito Gaizkine was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 25th minute, Barceloneta's Gaspar Gabirel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Barceloneta's Luisito Gaizkine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Abarca in the 29th minute of play. Tobias Iturri took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisito Gaizkine. Luisito Gaizkine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in Palomero's zone, Gaspar Gabirel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriana Sabino came out of the goal and Gaspar Gabirel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Gaspar Gabirel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adriana Sabino, 4-3. In the 44th match minute, Barceloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Gabirel to maneuver through the defense. Luisito Gaizkine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Abarca in the 46th minute of the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Pablo Lauren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palomero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Lauren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-3 at half-time.

Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Luisito Gaizkine successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luisito Gaizkine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Iturri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Ambrosio Pes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gaspar Gabirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Barceloneta got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Arce. Luisito Gaizkine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Lauren in the 66th minute of play. Luisito Gaizkine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolo Abarca in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Barceloneta's Gaspar Gabirel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adriana Sabino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. If Marcial Veto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspar Gabirel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Adriana Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Bartolo Abarca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luisito Gaizkine. That made the score 5-4 in the 87 minute of play. In the 91st minute, Palomero's Pablo Lauren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-5. In the 95th minute, Marcial Veto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
