Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ceferino Urdaspal got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, River Plate's Benigno Marquez got control of the ball when Casimiro Abad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benigno Marquez came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by BARRI´S EXPLOSION's Raimundo Etxekopar. But to his dismay, Raimundo Etxekopar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Casimiro Abad scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benigno Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alejo Gar hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Benigno Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Gar. Atilano Gines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Intxixu in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Ortzi to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, River Plate's Ceferino Urdaspal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atilano Gines made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 30th match minute, BARRI´S EXPLOSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Haritz to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Ceferino Urdaspal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atilano Gines. BARRI´S EXPLOSION's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ceferino Urdaspal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 35th minute, Elpidio Rico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benigno Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Nalo in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, BARRI´S EXPLOSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Vachon to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see River Plate's Clemente Jerano in action when he in the 40th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Generoso Nalo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, River Plate's Paulino Astudillo tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Etxekopar to strike the kick off in the second half. River Plate's Benigno Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Etxekopar in the 57th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, BARRI´S EXPLOSION's Raimundo Etxekopar made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benigno Marquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Gar came free, but Benigno Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute of the match, Ceferino Urdaspal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Atilano Gines saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Atilano Gines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Rico in the 82nd minute. Generoso Nalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Raimundo Etxekopar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. After 90 played minutes BARRI´S EXPLOSION got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Jakes. Elpidio Rico struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Atilano Gines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. Benigno Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. BARRI´S EXPLOSION were victorious despite being under pressure from River Plate for much of the match.
