The supporters of Sureño Sporting Club booed when Norumbega FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Prospero Aguilera fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norumbega FC's protests and gave Prospero Aguilera a yellow card for diving instead. 13 minutes into the game, one of Norumbega FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 2-0 came through a penalty shot after 15 played minutes, when Sureño Sporting Club:s Laureano Baumar calmly waited for Norumbega FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Fidel Maule received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jeronimo Vincente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeronimo Vincente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Cuarto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Damaso Cuarto made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sureño Sporting Club's zone, Damaso Cuarto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Vincente came out of the goal and Damaso Cuarto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damaso Cuarto's late challenge caught a Sureño Sporting Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Cuarto helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Cuarto in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeronimo Vincente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Marcial Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sureño Sporting Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Toro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Virila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliberto Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Mincho in the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Dalmacio Mincho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damaso Cuarto struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jeronimo Vincente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norumbega FC. Damaso Cuarto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Norumbega FC booed when Sureño Sporting Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Aurre didn't get a good kick on the ball.
