Cañete FC's Gavino Ekhi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Cañete FC from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Osman Shevkenov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Poz kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Lisandro Nuxila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertol Goicoolea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Regis in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavino Ekhi saved Cañete FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Regis in the 54th minute of play forced Cañete FC's goalkeeper Gavino Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Osman Shevkenov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Santiago Botello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Ekhi was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Lisandro Nuxila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Vimaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Gartzea kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Gavino Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Regis in the 79th minute of the match. Lisandro Nuxila didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustacio Ireno went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Plaza Futbol Club defense, Osman Shevkenov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lisandro Nuxila. The Plaza Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lisandro Nuxila should have stopped the shot. Cañete FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
