The audience thought a goal was coming when Erubiel Chucho got free with Anthon Gottschalk in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Jacinto Medero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anthon Gottschalk, 3-0. Diablo viejo's Joaquin Hats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Clemencin in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
