Niceto Larra hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ceibal AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Moises Darien hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dante Behe in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Giraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dante Behe made a kick off. Ceibal AFC's Paulo Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Felo in the 53rd minute of play. The referee ignored Ceibal AFC's protests and gave Jeremias Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ceibal AFC's Jeremias Abreu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Rolando Kelemen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Giraldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Paulo Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Behe, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Ceibal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Behe came free, but Paulo Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gervasio Jago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Darien, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the referee ended the match the Copacabana AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
