Joaquin Bartolome's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gervasio Jago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Denis Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Jago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Denis Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute, Joaquin Bartolome got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Joaquin Bartolome was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nueva Chicago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Copacabana AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nueva Chicago's Joaquin Bartolome got a free kick in the 25th minute. The audience was convinced that Denis Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gervasio Jago was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Denis Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Jago having to interfere. Dante Behe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Piorno having to interfere. Joaquin Bartolome hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Denis Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gervasio Jago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Rafel in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Copacabana AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Felo to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dante Behe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Denis Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Denis Marques. Alvaro Piorno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Kelemen in the 65th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Maurin during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Copacabana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Maurin. After 68 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Rafel. 69 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Behe came free, but Alvaro Piorno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Copacabana AFC's Dante Behe got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Denis Marques put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gervasio Jago. Benedicto Rainerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Bartolome hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Dante Behe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Copacabana AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Behe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Denis Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 97 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Rainerio. Nueva Chicago played a much better game than Copacabana AFC and deserved their victory. The Copacabana AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
