After having played for 28 minutes, Ariel Corderun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. infierno rojo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Corderun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elpidio Matxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dito Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Elpidio Matxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Dito Loyola made a precise shot to the right of Elpidio Matxin. infierno rojo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, infierno rojo's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Herensuge came free, but Elpidio Matxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 played minutes infierno rojo got a freekick which was hit by Hector Enetz.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Alvarez to make the kick off.
