But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeo Batista couldn't finish the play. Alfredão Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximino Austin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Koldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes AZ ALKMAAR got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Gabirel. In the 27th minute of the match Tadeo Batista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maximino Austin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Donato Jacindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximino Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 宋银剑, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Donato Jacindo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the AZ ALKMAAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Jacindo couldn't finish the play. After 38 minutes, Felipe Cordeara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ajax Ámsterdam and the AZ ALKMAAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Virgilio Ibar made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Donato Jacindo sent off a good shot on target. Esteve Paez's late challenge caught a Ajax Ámsterdam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteve Paez helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the AZ ALKMAAR defense, Tadeo Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximino Austin. The AZ ALKMAAR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximino Austin should have stopped the shot. Aleksander Motowski kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Ajax Ámsterdam were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 宋银剑 was the one to do the kick off. 宋银剑 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ajax Ámsterdam's 宋银剑 got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iker Dalmu hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ajax Ámsterdam booed when AZ ALKMAAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Gabirel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ajax Ámsterdam defense, Alfredão Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Ibar. The Ajax Ámsterdam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Ibar should have stopped the shot. If 宋银剑 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When 宋银剑 came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ajax Ámsterdam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 宋银剑 couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Ajax Ámsterdam left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AZ ALKMAAR.
