Maximiliano Emesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Corderall's late challenge caught a Lobos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Corderall helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Eliseo Corderall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argenitnos del Sur's Edelmiro Quintin got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Desiderio Veronica came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Argenitnos del Sur's Ismael Berenguer. But to his dismay, Ismael Berenguer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Lobos booed when Argenitnos del Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Estevon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Leopoldo Aztore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Leopoldo Aztore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Angelino Amor fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lobos's protests and gave Angelino Amor a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lobos getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Angelino Amor hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Quintin got free with Desiderio Veronica in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelino Amor got his second yellow card in the match during the 32nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 33 played minutes Lobos got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Amor. Desiderio Veronica made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Ismael Berenguer sent off a good shot on target. Pablo Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Aztore in the 39th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Argenitnos del Sur's Ismael Berenguer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Desiderio Veronica narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Leopoldo Aztore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lobos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael Berenguer made a kick off. The supporters of Argenitnos del Sur booed when Lobos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Aztore didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edelmiro Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes of play, Lobos's Leopoldo Aztore made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pablo Reyes was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Argenitnos del Sur's Pablo Reyes got control of the ball when Leopoldo Aztore tried to sneak it across the goal line. Desiderio Veronica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Quintin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desiderio Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Aztore notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Argenitnos del Sur's Pablo Reyes. Pablo Reyes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Pablo Reyes managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Lobos's Leopoldo Aztore fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leopoldo Aztore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Pablo Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Ismael Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Reyes made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Leopoldo Aztore sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Argenitnos del Sur's goalkeeper Pablo Reyes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Aztore. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ismael Berenguer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argenitnos del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Berenguer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Veronica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
