An unexpectedly hard shot by Paredes Calva in the 11th minute of play forced Ojeda RDA's goalkeeper Fernan Mikeldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Abaurre got free with Fernan Mikeldi in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute Santiago Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Racing's Damaso Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Cordarryl in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Ojeda RDA booed when FC Racing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lóránd Markó didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, FC Racing's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Enekoitz came free, but Damaso Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Cordarryl in the 29th minute of the match. Damaso Paulin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Enekoitz's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes, Lóránd Markó mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Racing and the Ojeda RDA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes FC Racing got a freekick which was hit by Lóránd Markó. Damaso Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Llope in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Santiago Enekoitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Damaso Paulin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Paredes Calva fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paredes Calva during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paredes Calva kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Enekoitz in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damaso Paulin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Ojeda RDA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paredes Calva to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, FC Racing's Paredes Calva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernan Mikeldi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Wilfredo Abreu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Vladimiro Eufemio hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66thth minute of the game Santiago Enekoitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Racing's Damaso Paulin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damian Bermudo took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damaso Paulin. Damaso Paulin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 73rd match minute, FC Racing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lóránd Markó to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes Ojeda RDA got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Guter. Fernan Mikeldi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paredes Calva's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. FC Racing's Damaso Paulin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Racing from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, FC Racing's Damaso Paulin got control of the ball when Adolfo Cordarryl tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damaso Paulin made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Damian Bermudo sent off a good shot on target. If Adolfo Cordarryl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ojeda RDA played a much better game than FC Racing and deserved their victory. The FC Racing players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
